Eve Austin: Thriving in the Film Festival Circuit
Show notes
Eve Austin is an actress that has won over 30 awards for several short film and independent features many of which she also had a hand in producing. Her IMDB is full of projects currently making their way through the independent film festival circuit. Ashley Brooke Cohen and Russell Stoner dive deep into auditioning, ego death, and making your own work. The secret to being on more projects is networking, if people like working with you they will keep you in consideration for future work. Eve has done so much work like the Tubi movie "In Fidelity" with Chris Parnell (voice of Jerry from Rick and Morty, also was an SNL cast member). She also talks about what makes a good film festival like Idyllwild International Film Festival, Queens World Film Festival, and the upcoming Festival of Cinema NYC. It will take place from August 6-16 and will show the documentary "Driven By Angels" about the father of drag boarding (skateboarding with a motor on it), Vaughn Shafer trying to beat his own world record. They also discuss which superhero Eve Austin should play. 0:00 Last looks and headphone negotiations 2:30 Russ' AMC altercation during Fantastic Four: First Steps 4:45 Triumph over adversity — Eve's favorite subject 8:15 The Kevin James movie that got away 9:00 "Everybody thinks they have a good script.
